Our Engagements

Utkal Divas & Community Spirit

The Singapore Odia community is a non-political, non-profit, and voluntary community formed in Singapore. Founded in 1998 by a small group of Odia expatriates, its mission is to create a sense of Odia belongingness among Odia people living in Singapore.

The Odia community in Singapore's key focus is to promote socio-cultural activities in Singapore and promote Odisha's culture and heritage.

Why We Come Together

Odia Society of Singapore strives to promote the rich cultural heritage of Odisha in Singapore and provides an opportunity for Odia expatriates living in Singapore for social gathering to retain its "Odisha connection".

Our Major Events

Odia Society of Singapore organizes two key social gatherings every year, bringing the community together in celebration.

Other Festivals

Apart from the two major events, the Odia Society of Singapore also celebrates a variety of other festivals throughout the year.

Raja

The Odia festival celebrating womanhood and the onset of monsoon.

Holi

The festival of colours, celebrated with joy and vibrant community gatherings.

Deepabali

The festival of lights, celebrated with diyas, sweets, and festive cheer.

Relief Fund Support

Apart from organizing social gatherings, Odia Society of Singapore also actively gets involved in raising relief funds to support natural calamities — such as cyclone, flood, and other disasters — demonstrating the community's commitment to compassion and solidarity.
